Improving E-commerce with Boomi - Case Study

The challenge

One of our clients wasn't happy with their previous offshore outsourcing provider. As a major player in the e-commerce industry, they wanted a company that could better meet their expectations and provide reliable services. They were searching for integration specialists with Boomi experience, and that's how we started working together in September last year. 

The project goal was to maintain and develop integration between eCommerce systems to create the flow of information in a distributed environment. 

Boomi is a cloud-based integration and automation software with more than 20,000 customers worldwide. It connects systems and manages data flows with API management, integration, data management, and AI orchestration in one comprehensive solution. Boomi provides low-code technology, pre-built integrations, and the guidance to get started quickly.

🧩 PROJECT SCOPE

In a project using technologies such as Boomi, Azure Service Bus, Azure Blob Storage, and more, our team is responsible for integrating various client systems, maintaining these integrations, optimizing workflows, and monitoring data flows. Bash scripts play a role in streamlining the processing of the documents. The lead architect assigns a task to our team, and we make sure it is done effectively.

👤 WORK ORGANIZATION 

In this project, we work in a kanban methodology with daily meetings. We have a 4-person team, including Principal Consultant, Technical Consultant, and Implementation Consultants.

The Results

The project is progressing well. The team is handling both standard requests and new developments, which have proven quite challenging, without any issues.

Among the most significant results achieved in the first year of collaboration, we highlight:

• The launch of 3 new e-commerce banners, one of which is among the largest in Europe
• The activation of new features for existing banners, which has led to a significant increase in sales
